Hermione had a horrible dream that night: She and Draco were snogging each other in the Potions corridor, when Ron walked up. 'What the bloody heck is this?!' he shouted angrily. 'Hermione, I thought you were MY girlfriend!'
'Oh, Ron,' she said ashamed. 'Ron, this isn't what you think it is-'
'Oh, I get it,' he said snottily. 'You're dumping me!!!'
'Ronald Billius Weasley, you completely left me first! Let's remember: we went to the Three Broomsticks together. Just us last year. And what did I see there?!'
'Lavender Brown.' Ron whispered.
Draco had left by this time. No one even noticed.
'Exactly,' Hermione screamed, 'and what do you know? You bloody snogged her when I was in the bathroom!'
Hermione was heaving great big sobs and crumpled to the floor.
And Ron just left her there. But before he could leave, Hermione whispered, 'I loved you. And you gave it all up.'
Ron walked away.
