"Do You Like Me?"
Chapter 2
"Hey, Hermione," Ginny asked. She and Hermione were studying for exams in the Gryffindor Common Room. "When was the Battle of- Hermione? Hello? HERMIONE GRANGER?!"
"Oh! Sorry, Ginny!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Geez, are you all right," Ginny looked worried. "This is the forth time you've zeroed out today!"
This was true. Hermione had not been very focused today. Professor McGonagall told her twice to pay attention; not to long after Professor Flitwick told her to pay attention twice as well. The reason for this was because Draco's word rang over and over in her ears: "you-".
"I'm sorry Ginny. I-I'm nervous about the exams." Hermione stuttered. This was the first time she EVER lied to Ginny. They helped each other through thick and thin; best friends for five years. So Hermione felt awful when the words escaped her mouth.
"Okay," Ginny did not look entirely convinced. "But promise you won't forget this: we are the best of friends. You can tell me anything and everything."
Ginny was holding Hermione's hand.
"Thanks, Ginny."

It was the end of Potions. Most of the students were already out the door. Hermione, however, Had other plans.
"You guys go ahead. I'll catch up." said Hermione to Harry, Ron and Ginny.
"Is there something wrong?" asked Harry and Ginny at the same time. They blushed.
"No," Hermione was trying to make an excuse. "It's just that Snape asked me to come up to his desk after everyone, except Malfoy for some awful reason I'll hate, had left."
"Okay. Catch up with with us later." said Ron.
They left.
Step one completed. Hermione thought. Now for step two.
Just as Hermione had hoped, Draco and his cronies, Crabbe and Goyle, were still in the classroom.
Snape had left; leaving Hermione alone with Draco.
"What do you want, Mudblood?" sneered Draco. He was close enough for Hermione to kick him in the shin, which she extremely wanted to do, but she controlled her anger.
"Here." she gave him a note.
"What's this?" Draco asked.
"Oh, you'll find out." Hermione left.
Now, Draco had to wait to open the note, but fear not, for I will tell you what it said.
It said this:
"Do you mean what you said in the Great Hall? Am I the one you want? Do you like me?
To answer me, slip me a note with your answer.
Hermione"
