Soon came the day when max and jack would go to middle school. Jack was scared and max was glowing with excitement.
“Why are you scared? I'm a vampire, jack.” max said.
"Well I know that but it's the first day of middle school! It's going to be nerve-racking..." Jack sighed.
"Boys!" Their mom yelled. "It's time to go!" They both grabbed their backpacks and ran to the door to say bye to their parents. they ran to the school Carriage. They saw other kids run to the same place. All of them got in a line but jack and max stopped in their tracks. All of the other boys saw someone. It was a girl. She looked the same age as max and jack but she had something over her eyes. She had long wavy black hair that blew in the wind, (and on her face) and had tan skin color. she walked to jack and max and they saw it was a bandanna and she asked
"may I please go in front of you two?"
With her head hanged down slightly. She had a young voice, very warm and soft.. and almost comforting. Both of them said that she could both with their mouths wide open. When jack was about to get in the carriage a other boy pushed him down. He has brown with a mix of black hair, black eyes, and was wearing a very fancy outfit. Suit and tie, and his hair to the side he looked like a classic rich boy. He then said to jack and max
" she's mine. And although I don't have her now I will soon."
Then he sat next to the girl and started talking to her. She was annoyed how rude he was being, scuffed at him, and talked to her friends. He never noticed.
“why you are looking at Alex?” Said a boy siting next to them.
He had blond hair with a little dirt on his face and blue eyes. Max looked at him then smiled.
“Your that A.j kid right? I heard of you at camp.” Max asked.
The boy smiled and brushed some hair out of his face. He then said “yeah and your brother is still staring at Alex, seriously.”
Jack looked over and said. “So her name is Alex right?”
A.j nodded yes. Then looked at a other boy with black hair, emerald green eyes, and peach skin, he had a soccer jersey on.
“I see you know Sam, A.j And who’s that girl Alex is talking to?” Max asked.
“Her name is Nina and,” A.j starts as he is blushing and started looking down at the ground as hair fell back onto his face. “it’s not that I know him, he does not know I exist.”
Max looks at him confused but jack understands the blush. “A.j are you gay?” Jack asked at max looked very confused (again)
“no! I uhhh, I’m not gay, I uhhhh, errr. Yeah I’m gay.” A.j finally admitted.
“That’s fine. Your our friend now so your flaws are fine.” (Author’s note: gay is not a flaw, it’s just they are in the very olden times so gay and lesbian people were not many.) Then after a little while of them talking. The driver told all the kids to get off. Everyone was walking in to classes but jack stayed back because he had to get somethings for max. Then he saw Alex walking around a corner. He followed quietly behind her. He saw that a boy trying to pull her closer to him.
“Come on Alex, I am the best boy for you. And when you Finally going to realize that?” He said to Alex.
“You don’t know me, I’m not into bullies...Do you think I did not see what happened on the carriage? I’m not stupid! I saw it and if you ever want me to ever think a little of you as a friend stop being mean and rude. Especially to the new kids!” She yelled at him. She was fuming. He looked mad at her and but pulled her closer.
“Then how about a kiss? Maybe that will change your mind?” He said holding her against a wall
“Get your dirty hands off me..” she mumbled clutching a fist turning away.
Jack quickly stepped in and yelled, “she said no dude! Now let her go or this will end badly.” He let Alex go but laughed at jack.
“Do you really think pencil neck, that you, out of all kids, could beat me in fighting.” He told jack.
“Oh i don’t think it, I know it.” And jack hit him hard and did not stop attacking. But strangely enough, when he did that he felt something move in his mouth, but did not care at the time. He could worry it later. Soon after a bit, jack was bleeding out his nose (the bully got one good hit) and the bully had bumps all over his face. Suddenly Alex hit the bully with what great force that he was knocked back.
“I can take care of myself, but thanks. Come with me, you’re gonna get in trouble You have to run!” She held out her hand and jack grabbed it with determination. The ran fast and far. Soon they were at the school field.
“Wow can you run.” Jack look dirty but happy.
“can’t everyone? Why does that surprise you?” She grinned looking back at him. “Uh I um...”
“haha! I’m kidding! I used to take track.” Jack nodded soon saw that Alex was not wearing her bandanna and her eyes looked normal, but to him they looked like stars were in her eyes. She had beautiful brown eyes. Alex ran over and hugged him. Jack was suprised but he felt her cry so he hugged her back.
“I’m sorry I dragged you into this.. I just don’t want to be treated like an object anymore...” Then she left, running faster then jack had ever seen.
