Chapter 7
Dear diary...
They always say “be yourself”, but I guess they never mean it. When I try to be myself, I get mocked and made fun of. Why is that? Because boys can’t have feelings. Showing emotion is a sign of weakness. In their eyes, hurt is allowed, but tears are the enemy. And fighting the enemy is the greatest battle of all. It’s like arm wrestling with an opponent much stronger than you. You fight your hardest, and you hold for some time. But then you can’t hold anymore. And when your done there, you’re already tired for the next fight. It’s an endless cycle of losing. And every single time you lose, it’s not just physically draining, but mentally too. And every time you cry, they sit there and lough at your pain. If this is what it is like to be a man, then I don’t want it. I’m sick and tired of this. But there’s nothing I can do.
