Sarah paces back and forth back at her own home, contemplating her fierce argument with Carla. Perhaps she had gone too far. Instead of bringing a broken family together, she had done quite the opposite – deepen the wounds even farther. Sarah was terrified she had helped build a wall between Savannah and her mother in encouraging Savannah to visit him. And now all she heard was fights between them as Savannah frequently sneaked out of the house to go to the hospital. There was no backing out now, so perhaps the right thing to do should be to let the full truth come out. If Savannah would keep defying her mother, she would need to do it for the right reason. For the truth.

Sarah pulls out a dusty, leather portfolio out of one of the various boxes in the attic. She wonders if Carla saw continued to see Tyler whenever she glimpsed into Sarah's beautiful honey-brown eyes.
