Aria was sprawled on her bed, taking a break from packing. Her mom was sending her to overnight camp for the summer, but Aria was hesitant. She wanted to spend her break with her friends, having fun, not at some dusty old camp.
She sighed and went back to packing. Aria muttered complaints to herself as she threw pants, shirts, and other clothes into her bag. “Why is mom sending me there, it’s gonna be no fun at all..”

The next day, Aria woke up grumpily. She was going to camp today. She got ready and walked downstairs for breakfast lazily, then perked up when she smelled pancakes. “Are those pancakes?” Aria asked as she sat down at the table. Her dad nodded yes as she poured syrup over them, almost as if she was trying to drown her pancakes.
