Chapter 2
Dear Reader,
After my book "WAVE." (https://www.hogwartsishere.com/library/book/14868/), many of you requested that I publish a few of the other short stories that I have written until I start on some big writing projects that I have planned. "The Lost Letter" was one of these, and while I think it is my weakest story, I hope you still found some enjoyment from it.
As you can tell, it tells the story of a broken family through the format of a letter - a letter that a son wrote but never sent. Domestic abuse, incest, parental violence, etc. are all terrible things that too many face today. Perhaps, a few of you reading this right now have suffered from one or more of these. I wrote this story a while back to show that while not everyone has a healthy family, you don't have to be who your parents were. You can choose what defines you, and if that is not your family/childhood, then so be it. Ricky eventually healed from this trauma and made the decision to be a better person and father than his parents ever were.
