Quidditch Broomsticks

Oak shaft 79
This broomstick was first made by Elias Grimstone in 1879. It has a very thick oaken handle and it is considered a very safe broomstick. Today it is not used for quidditch, but as decoration, because it considered a vintage broomstick.
Moontrimmer
It was created by Gladys Boothby in 1901. This broomstick is slender and ash-handled. It is one of the first quidditch broomsticks invented and it allows the player to reach great heights.
Silver Arrow
This is a broomstick that allows a quidditch player to reach high speeds. It was created by Leonard Jewkes.
Cleansweep One
This is a broomstick created by the brother's Bob, Bill, and Barnaby, in 1926. It is a quidditch broomstick created specifically for quidditch. It is produced in the Cleansweep Broom Company. This company produced the Cleansweep Two and Three a couple of years afterward.
Comet 140
This broomstick was created in 1929 by the Ollerton brothers. It is a quidditch broomstick and it is produced in the Comet Trading Company, which produced sometime after the Comet 180.
Tinderblast
It appeared in the market in 1940 and it is produced by the Black Forest Company Ellerby and Spudmore. This broomstick is a highly resilient broom.
Swiftstick
This model was produced by the Forest Company Ellerby and Spudmore, in 1952. It is faster than a Tinderblast, but it was never been used by the professional Quidditch teams.
Shooting Star
It was produced by the Universal Brooms Ltd since 1955. It is the cheapest racing broom known until now, but it is known to lose speed and height as it ages. After this discovery, the company ran out of business in 1978.
Nimbus 100
It is produced by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company in 1978. It reaches speeds up to a hundred miles per hour and it can turn 360 degrees at a fixed point in mid-air. It is one of the brooms preferred by the professional quidditch teams. After some years, there were produced more models, like Nimbus 1001, Nimbus 1500, Nimbus 1700, Nimbus 2000, and Nimbus 2001.
Twigger 90
This broomstick is created by Flyte and Barker in 1990. It warps under high speed and, because of that, it has an unlucky reputation.
Firebolt
It’s the fastest broomstick known and it was first produced in 1993 by Randolph Spudmore. It has incredible speed and stability. It is the best broomstick created for quidditch. The same creator invented more recently Firebolt Supreme in 2014.

FUN FACT

Did you know that JK Rowling has admitted that she regrets the relationship between Ron and Hermione? J.K. Rowling is a Harmony fan! Many people may be wondering why if this is one-hundred percent true then why did they not get together. I mean she wrote the book after all… I have no idea. Email Kaela Black if you have any fun facts that you would like to share with HDN readers.

Shoutout to my readers and crew!

In these tough times, I like to focus on what I am grateful for! Lately, I am so grateful to all of our readers! I am also grateful for my crew, they work so hard for the Hogwarts Daily News! They make lots and lots of articles all the time. I want to put a spotlight on my magical employees of the week. These witches have been working hard all the time. Literally I don’t think they sleep… Their names are Celeste Evergreen and Beezer Granger. They started off as interns, but are now hard workers for the main group! I am also grateful for all my past employees. Yes, some had to leave us. But I am still grateful for their service to the paper.
What were/are you grateful for this week?
