Lesson #7

Chapter 7
A ghost is the essence of a person that is left behind after a person dies. They are weightless, transparent, and have no physical form. They can’t touch objects around them or make objects move. When a person walks through them, they feel a chill. They can become invisible. It may be offensive walking through a ghost so try not to. Mugged think that they haunt the living, but only magical people can become ghosts, and they are not malevolent. Never bring up their death, never draw attention that they are no longer living, and always thank the ghost for their time.

Poltergeists are also spirits, but they are spirits of chaos. Castles are perfect for them to thrive. They can touch and move objects usually to create chaos to give them more power. It is very rare to see them have a visible, distinct form. Signs that there is a peeve around you: banging on walls, objects suddenly moving/thrown, weird smells, and physical attack from unseen forces. Only way to get away from an attack is to abandon the area. They will be fizzled until you return. In rare cases they can be controlled. They always listened to Dumbledore and bloody baron. In 1996 Fred and George Weasley were able to get them to listen to them and make Dolores Umbridges life miserable

Gytrashes are ghostly large dogs that only appear at night. They are extremely vicious and have pitch black eyes. They blend into surroundings until on top of prey. (Humans) frequently attack in groups of 2-6. They can be found in the forbidden forest.
