Gargoyles are not creatures as they are not living but only resemble life. many gothic buildings include gargoyles on top. They originated in the era of Gothic Architecture and became popular because of appearance and practicality. They are similar to grotesques. Gargoyles were built to help channel water and push it away from buildings. In the magic world, they serve as guardians and only approve people that have enchantments or the password. It will move away for the owner, but others must have the password.

Hags are sentient creatures that are ma lot like humans but supposedly only have 4 toes. They have pale skin and basic magic abilities. Categorized as beings. They eat children and raw liver.

Annis black lived in a cave and she is well known for writing a letter to the daily prophet where she complained about portraying hags as flesh eating monsters.
