The Unforgivable Curses
Chapter 6
The Unforgivable Curses are a group of three curses that are Ministry-banned, terrible and used by Dark witches and wizards in the past.
The first curse is called the Imperius Curse. It is the power to have complete control over someone, witch, wizard or Muggle. The only way to fight it is to be resistant and strong. Not many wizards are able to fight it.
Incantation:
Imperio
The second curse is called the Cruciatus Curse. It is a Torturing Curse used on people to cause pain.
Incantation:
Crucio
The last curse is called the Killing Curse. A curse that can kill anybody, causing no physical damage to the body. The light is a blinding green light, and many wizards and witches, most in league with Lord Voldemort and himself, are likely to have earned a life-term sentence in Azkaban (wizarding prison).
Incantation:
Avada Kedavra
All three curses, if someone has used it, will earn a life long sentence in Azkaban.
