The Locking Charm

The Locking Charm is a counter-Charm to the Thief’s Friend, Alohomora, or the Unlocking Charm. It was created in the 17th century, to stop Elsrickle and other thieves terrorising Muggles and wizarding communities by breaking into houses. The Alohomora Charm does work on the counter-Charm, Colloportus, But is still used to save time.
