-------------The Prophecy----------------
Lionpaw Arose from his damp nest reluctantly, The rain chilling him beneath his Golden pelt. I wonder how Hollypaw and jaypaw are holding up. They seemed to be pretty upset yesterday; I should check on them. Lionpaw Concluded with a shake of his fur. As he scampered to the medicine den where he would find jaypaw sleeping. And maybe Hollypaw too...she was pretty badly injured from the thorn bush she got caught in three days ago. Lionpaw was surprised when he found Jaypaw sorting herbs instead of getting rest. Well, I guess I should’ve expected that...it is typical jaypaw. “Hi jaypaw, What’re you doing up so early?” Lionpaw asked his brother Curiously. “The question is why are you up so early, Lionpaw?” Jaypaw retorted sharply. Lionpaw was taken aback, he was only trying to see how his brother was doing! “Look Lionpaw, since you disturbed my work...you can help me. See that chervil over there?” Jaypaw pointed with his tail towards a heap of long flowery plants. Lionpaw let out a long exasperated sigh. “Yeah, i guess. What’d you want me to do with it?” Lionpaw asked with his tail lashing. “Ugh, are you really this mouse-brained Lionpaw? Do you even know what chervil is?” Jaypaw shot Lionpaw a dumbfounded expression as if Lionpaw should know what the herb did. Lionpaw shrugged. Jaypaw sighed heavily, “chervil is for bellyache or infected wounds. Would you mind putting all the dry ones on the side and putting the fresh ones in this storage hole?” Lionpaw was about to ask Jaypaw something but just as he opened his mouth Jaypaw seemed to know what Lionpaw was going to say, so he answered for him. “The dry leaves look somewhat like this” He nudged a brown crumpled leaf to the side. “Oh, ok jaypaw. A-and do y’know where Hollypaw is?” Lionpaw Asked quizzically. “Oh her? She was in here last night complaining of her paws being sore from the thorns...but when i woke up she was gone. Ask someone else, I dunno where that mangy thing wandered off to.” Jaypaw retorted agian. Lionpaw started sorting the herbs, constantly asking Jaypaw which one was which. “Ugh, didn’t I just tell you the difference a moment ago?” The medicine cat apprentice sighed. “This is the chervil we need; this is an old crumpled one. Understand now?” Jaypaw added, gazing at his brother with his blind icy blue eyes. “Yes, sorry Jaypaw” Lionpaw shuffled his paws self consciously. “It’s nothing to be ashamed of Lionpaw. Ugh, you’re obviously not cut out for this stuff. You’ve done enough work for now. Oh, and Lionpaw?” Jaypaw said with his whisker quivering in amusement. “What’s the trouble Jaypaw?” Lionpaw asked worriedly. “It’s urgent...When you find Hollypaw, immediately come to me and we’ll figure it out then. Alright? You cannot forget, it must be addressed as soon as possible. I’ll explain everything then.” Jaypaw told his brother in a solemn whisper. “B-but what’s so urgent?” Lionpaw was confused. “Are you deaf? I just said. ‘I’ll explain everything then.’ now go...Shoo! You’re taking up too much space here With that bushy pelt of yours!” Jaypaw stifled a laugh and shoved his brother out of the fern covered den.
Lionpaw Padded over to his mother Squirrelflight and said hello politely. (~If u guys want more...Owl/message me!!!~)
