Eleanor Lestrange
Two girls. Two friends. With two big secrets. This book starts with Eleanor Lestrange. She has always lived at home because her family thinks it a disgrace that she even exists. A squib in the line of purebloods? Finally Eleanor's elder brother, Alban, takes pity on her... Then, at chapter ten, there will be a second book, where we go into Lottie Greygrove's mind, Lottie, who has just started Hogwarts, despairing of how she will ever fit in... how can she, with the terrible secret she keeps inside? This is the book I started in February when I first joined Hogwarts is Here, and I thought I'd publish it. I am currently working on another book but there will probably be updates for this. Thanks for reading!

A Light in the Darkness
Chapter 3
"So, I've been thinking." Alban said, sitting at his desk chair and motioning her to sit on his bed. She did.
"You've been thinking... what?"
Alban shook his head. "It's not fair for you, Eleanor."
Eleanor looked out the window, feeling her eyes prickling. Stop it!, she told herself. She blinked them away and turned back to Alban. "Yes?"
"Mother and Father keep you here and it's not right. They've got no reason to be ashamed... the stupid Lestrange line. So..." Alban took a deep breath. "I'm going to get you out of here."
Eleanor blinked again, but this was out of surprise. "What do you mean?" she asked sharply.
A slight smile crept over Alban's face, and his eyes twinkled. Eleanor could tell he had been aching to tell her this all evening. "I've been planning for ages." He said, rummaging in his pocket, before pulling out a letter. "With my best friend, Brynn. She's really smart, by the way - oh, and she doesn't care about breaking rules." He tossed her the piece of crinkled parchment.
"We're going to be breaking rules?" Eleanor asked nervously.
"Just read it." Alban urged.
Slowly Eleanor unfolded the letter and read;
Alban:
I've mastered the charm. Your sister will be able to
come! You might need to get her some Hogwarts
robes though, or it will look suspicious.
Brynn
Eleanor gasped. "You're - you're taking - ME to Hogwarts?"
Alban beamed. "Yup."
"But - but - but - I'm a squib! I can't DO magic!"
"Doesn't matter!" Alban said, getting up and pacing the room. "Brynn's finally mastered the obliviate charm, so if anybody does find out it's you, they'll forget before they can tell anybody! We can keep you hidden in the castle!"
Eleanor saw many flaws in this plan, but she was suddenly so happy that she didn't even care. A warm glow was tingling in her fingers, and she imagined leaving this dark unhappy house to go to Hogwarts, that place of wonders, of dreams... and in those few seconds, Eleanor decided. She would leave this place, what ever it took. And Alban had just given her a wonderful opportunity. She turned and hugged him tightly. "Thank you Alban, thank you!"
Rather bemusedly, he hugged her back.
