The Box Became My Safe Haven
written by Poe
21-year-old Anita is home alone, when a man she barely knows bursts in, ties her up, and abducts her. The attacker imprisons her in his home, keeping her locked up in a cage hours on end. Over the next eight days, Anita clings to life, hoping that someone will find her before it is too late. This is not mine, I found a podcast "I Survived" and I thought I would make a book on some of the podcasts they made.

As The Days Go On
Chapter 7
On day three of Anita's disappearance. Police interviewed her old boss from the gym. She brought up the name of Victor Steel's on the names of suspects. Anita didn't see any opportunity for escape so the days dragged on. He would tell me he made weird noises and act like other people in the house and if I called for help he would kill me. Might play tapes to seem like the police were there. It was like a mind game like he would sit there and be very quiet and if I tried to escape he would just be sitting there. Day four she watched "I Love Lucy". Day five he made her clean the apartment. Day six she vomited and had blood in her diarrhea and played a board game. Day seven he built shelves for the book store and she set up the computer for him. Detectives made Steels a suspect and had learned from his mother that he left town fairly suddenly. Around 5:45 PM on day eight July 2nd 1998 the SWAT team raided the house and found Anita locked in the box.
