I woke up that day to a loud bang down by the kitchen. It took me a minute to realize what happened yesterday and then all of my stress came back that my mom could be dead since I couldn't fall asleep till one in the morning because of the siren. My mom's shift ended around 7 last night so I was very worried and didn't want to come out of my room, matter of fact I think i'd rather be dead at the moment. I got up and put on my clothes. I started packing my stuff because there was no way I was going to leave out of the kitchen considering the sound that woke me up this morning. I took a baseball bat and packed my good sized backpack with snacks I had in my bedroom, a couple pairs of clothes, took some knives, phone, put on my boots, and jumped out of my window because I lived in a one story house. And I ran into the woods never looking back.
