I woke up that day and got changed. Like always I wore grey baggy jeans, my dusty white converse, and a beige t-shirt. I went down stairs and my mom had already left for work so I just had eggs for breakfast. I walked to school and went to class. I was in the middle of lunch when it happened. A siren from outside went off and I got a notification. It said all people in the state of Michigan need to go into lockdown itmeitly. I ran out of the school and went home. That was the first time i'd ever felt scared or watched the news. They had said someone had reported a man-eating human and looked sick. I tried to call my mom but she didn't answer but for some reason I wasn't that worried. That night I locked my door and went to sleep. Things really didn't kick in till the next day.
