I awkwardly sat down on the creaky floor, looking down and trying to swallow the lump in my throat. Floorboards creaking startled me out of my trance, and my eyes darted to the door. I glanced behind me and saw Remus trying to hide a smirk.

How odd.

I decided to ignore the footsteps and turned around to face Moony. The shock on his face registers and he stared at me, a bored expression scribbled onto his scarred face.

"Moony, I-Everything I did, I thought was for the best. I mean, obviously I'm not a very good judge for good and bad, but...I didn't think you deserved me. And...well, you saw. I didn't make it two houses down without the feeling being unbearable. So please, forgive me?"

Remus looked uncomfortable. The steps made it to his bedroom door. I whipped around to see Nymphadora Tonks standing there.

" Hey, Remus. I've missed you," Tonks said softly, wiggling her fingers at Moony. He weakly waved back, and swallowed nervously.

Then he looked at me, and I saw his eyes shining with tears.

The good news? Looked like Moony was into me again.

The bad news? Tonks thought the same thing.
