Chapter 5
Three months go by, and Gaby still hasn't told Zoe the truth. I should tell her, but I don't want her to think I'm crazy. I know I shouldn't care what she thinks and just go for it, but I do care. Hehe, just go for it. That sounds like I'm trying to tell her I like her, but- Wait. No. I can't. She's a girl. But... Zoe interupts her thoughts.
"Whacha thinkin' 'bout?"
"Oh, I just zoned out. I had a weird dream, and I was trying to remember it." It wasn't a complete lie... The vision was a lot like a dream. Fine. I guess it's time to tell her...
"What do you remember?"
"Um, you were there. With two other girls, a little older than you. They looked really similar to you. But there was something different about you. You were younger. Maybe four or five." Gaby tells her nervously.
"Those girls must have been my sisters. They were really my only friends back then. It's like you saw my memories." Zoe giggles. "How long ago was this?"
"That's the thing. It was the day we met. I actually did see your memories."
"What?!" Zoe looks shocked. I knew it. She thinks I'm crazy. But she hadn't finished yet. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Huh? You don't think I'm crazy?"
"No. I just wish you would have told me. Why didn't you?" Zoe asks.
"I don't know. I didn't want to scare you. I didn't want you to think I'm weird. I didn't want you to leave me."
"You think I would do any of that? Gaby, I'm your best friend. I would never hurt you. Now, is there anything else you want to tell me?"
"No, I'm good. Thank you."
"Okay." Zoe says as she hugs Gaby.
