Chapter 3
Essays are a big deal. They require you to write down exactly what the professor wants you to know, and are graded by PA's in a duration of time. In this chapter, I will give you a guide on how to ace each and every essay you are given!
1. Grammar
This is a big contributing factor in your learning attitude. Grammar is required and important in your essays. As such, spend some time re-reading your final draft in order to make sure you are 100% positive that at least your vocabulary use and grammar are sufficient enough to earn a passing grade.
2. Content
This really depends on what the professor wants you to learn in the lesson. I would say content is one of the most important parts of any essay you write. Make sure you thoroughly understand every part of the lesson text, and apply it to your writing. Do not start writing your essay if you are not sure of what to do, or what you need to include in the final draft.
3. Analysis
This is also an important part of your writing. You must analyze and SHOW how you understand the topic or theme of the lesson. Make sure you fully understand why things happen, and how they do. This should all be stated in the lesson.
4. Conclusion
Your conclusion wraps up your whole essay, so leave it on a high note! Use transition words that put extra power behind your point, and don't make it all bland and matter-of-fact. An essay IS a reflection of what you learned, and a little bit of your opinion after all.
Hopefully those helped you in the essay format of questions!
