Daily Prophet
Chapter 5
Luna was walking around happily, her radish earrings swinging and the Quibbler in her hand. She was all by herself, as usual. Today the Daily Prophet news had arrived, and so did Harry’s interview. Luna didn’t think Harry was lying, she believed him.
Ginny was really angry. How dare that Rita Skeeter lie like that? His eyes glistening with the ghosts of his past. Utter rubbish. She was even more angrier that Ron still didn’t believe him. Maybe after the first task he will. He has to.
‘’
Oh, I’m sorry’’ Ginny looked up to see Luna. She smiled faintly. ‘’Hi Luna. How are you?” She asked warmly, the anger quickly dissolving. Luna had that effect on people. ‘’I’m good. This week’s Quibbler edition has arrived’’ She held up her magazine. ‘’Oh, that’s good. Can I read it?’’
The two girls chatted and walked around. Ginny talked about the Daily Prophet, and how Rita Skeeter lied, and how Ron didn’t believe Harry. ‘’It’s all just ridiculous’’ Luna nodded sympathetically. She held Ginny’s hand and looked at her with an understanding expression.
‘’Luna, will you go to Yule ball with me? As friends, that is’’ Ginny asked suddenly. Luna’s eyes lit up. ‘’Sure!!’’ She said excitedly.
Ginny walked with Luna till the Gryffindor tower. They didn’t speak anything, they just held hands and walked in silence. I can always feel comfortable with Luna. We’re really good friends But was it just friends?
