Chapter 2
Ginny scanned the room and saw that only one seat was empty: The seat next to Loony Lovegood. She shrugged and sat next to her. ‘’Hi Loon- I mean, Luna’’ She blabbered. ‘’Hello’’ she replied, not seemed to be bothered by the fact that Ginny had just called her Loony. She felt guilty of teasing her just because she was unusual. She was unusual, but in a good way.
‘’So, how are your classes?’’ Ginny asked slowly so that only Luna could hear. ‘’It was good. The Slytherin boys kept teasing me as ‘Loony’. I think they don’t like me’’ Of course they don’t ‘’They always tease others. Don’t mind them’’ she said but wasn’t sure whether Luna heard her. She nodded and practiced her spell.
~In the library~
Luna was writing her essays in the library. She was wearing her butterbeer cork necklace. It DOES keep away the nargles. They’ll believe me once I prove it. She thought about the girl on the train, Ginny. She was nice. She didn’t tease Luna like the others.
Her mind wandered off to the Triwizard Tournament. She felt sad for Harry. Everyone, even the Ravenclaws, were thinking that he was lying. Except for that girl Hermione Granger. Luna had seen her in the library many times. Once she even saw Viktor Krum there, though he didn’t read. Instead he stared at Hermione. Luna didn’t mind it, of course.
‘’Hey Luna!’’ Luna looked up to see Ginny. ‘’What are you writing? And why aren’t you wearing any shoes?’’ Ginny was really nice. ‘’They’re stolen’’ Luna answered simply. ‘’I’m writing my Potions essay’’ Ginny nodded, looking a little angry and guilty. Luna wondered why.
‘’Do you want to go somewhere else?’’ Luna nodded. ‘’Great. Come with me’’ Ginny said grinning. The two then went out of the library, smiling at each other.
