The First Meeting
Chapter 1
Ginny sat by herself in a compartment. It was her third year and she was thinking about the Death Eaters in the Quidditch tournament. She wasn’t terrified, but she couldn’t help but keep thinking : Was You-Know-Who coming back?
The thought brought back painful memories of her second year, when she was responsible for – well, many things. It isn’t your fault, he was controlling you
She looked up to see a weird-looking girl. She had long, wavy blonde hair and was wearing a butterbeer cork necklace. Not only that, but she was also wearing radishes as earrings. She looked like she was daydreaming but also looked very focused. ‘’Can I sit here?’’ Ginny nodded. The blonde girl sat down in front of her. ‘’I’m Ginny Weasley’’ She said and smiled at the girl, though it was very hard because of the radish earrings which were distracting Ginny. ‘’I’m Luna Lovegood’’ she replied, smiling. Everything about her looked so unusual.
Ginny looked at the magazine in her hand. ‘’Quibbler?’’ She had never heard about a magazine like that. ‘’My father is the editor’’ Ginny realized she was holding it upside down, but didn’t ask anything. Instead, she asked about her necklace. ‘’Why are you wearing that?’’ It was such a weird thing to wear. ‘’It keeps away the Nargles’’ Nargles? ‘’What are those?’’
Luna explained that they were creatures that caused a lot of trouble. Ginny had to resist from laughing, everything Luna said seemed so ridiculous. Luna then went back to reading her magazine upside down. When the train came to a stop, both of them got out together.
Everyone pointed at Luna and whispered ‘’Look, it’s Loony Lovegood!’’ Ginny had to control herself from laughing. Loony Lovegood indeed
