Hold My Hand
written by Zoe Underwood
Melody is what you would call 'a goody two - shoes'. But life is unkind to her , as she had been in the hospital her entire life. When she was 13, she and her brother got in a dreadful accident. Her brother died, and Melody fell into a coma for 6 years. Jennie is what you would call 'a spoiled girl'. She is rich, cruel and mean. And life is extremely kind to her. She has everything one would dream of. Her hair isn't big, but she has many secrets. One terrible night, when Jennie is returning from a party, she hits a girl who has just woke up from a coma - Melody. When these two girl's paths cross, will they be together forever, or go in their seperate ways?

Chapter 10
Was I rude? Yes. Do I care? Maybe.
It isn’t my fault. She should’ve been nicer. Don’t you know how to read? Idiot. Of course I know how to read. I wasn’t sleeping for 5 years. I’m smart. That was way too rude There’s no such thing as ‘way too rude’. You can be as rude as you want to be. But you can’t be way too nice. Or else people will take advantage of you.
Like you would know Shut up!
It’s Friday tomorrow? Finally. This week was SO long. Maybe in the weekend I’ll go to an amusement park. Or maybe not. Maybe I’ll go to a resort. Away from home, from my friends, from school, from everything. That does sound nice Told you, I’m smart.
~ The next day ~
Who says? Who says you’re not perfect? Who says you’re not worth it? Who says you’re the only one that’s hurting? Trust me, that’s the prize of beauty. Who says you’re not pretty? Who says you’re not beautiful? Who says??...
What? Just because I’m rude doesn’t mean I don’t listen to nice songs. And Selena is a queen. You can’t prove me wrong. You just can’t
The school is so noisy. Everyone gossiping, giggling, teasing, bullying, chattering….It’s all too much. Do I wish I was back home playing with my sister? Yup. Maybe I should call Hermy.
Hermy’s actual name is Martha. She looks so much like Hermione so I started calling her Hermy. We had been friends since middle school. She transferred to LA after a year, but we’re still true friends. ‘Best friends’ is overrated. Who cares whether they’re the best? They have to be true to you. And to themselves.
I know, I’m not the type to give inspirational speeches. But some days are different than the others. ‘’Jennie! Wait up!!’’ I look back to see Lily, my cousin. We’re pretty good friends. Lily has curly blonde hair and is the class clown. She doesn’t play mean pranks, they’re just really funny.
I forced a smile. I do like my cousin, but smiling is hard. ‘’Hi’’ She grinned. ‘’Hey! How are you? Yesterday we went to a-‘’ She continues talking about something, just as someone crashes into me. ‘’Watch where you’re going!’’ The smile quickly drains away as I turn back to see who it was.
‘’You? What are YOU doing here?’’
