Follow racial justice organizations for further updates
Action limited to social media isn’t enough, but keeping up with organizations and accounts dedicated to racial justice can be helpful as you figure out what substantive actions you can take. The NAACP, Southern Poverty Law Center and Showing Up for Racial Justice are good places to start. This document offering anti-racism resources for white people is full of information, contacts and background, as is this list of 75 things white people can do for racial justice.
Listen to people of color right now, but do not request that they answer your questions or provide you with the information you need to understand white supremacy. Put the work in yourself. Don’t rely on others to perform the emotional labor.
