"Hey Loony!" A blond boy laughed and the two others behind him snorted. Their names were Draco Malfoy and the others Luna couldn't remember. (They might be wind spirits because they never spoke). "Hello." Luna said politely, not wanting to cause trouble. Snape was glaring at them from the other side of the hallway. Luna had been checking on the house points to see who was winning. The Nargels must be stealing some because Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were tied. For the bottom. Slytherin was first and Gryffindor second. "What's on your /ears/ Loony?" A black haired Slytherin girl screeched. Luna smiled slightly and tilted her head so her Dirigible plum earrings shook. "Oh these?" Luna said in a dreamy voice. "These are Dirigible plums. They repel Nargels. It doesn't seem to be working though... the Nargels took house points from Ravenclaw. Maybe I need new ones..." Pansy (the black haired girl) doubled over laughing. "Nargles?" Malfoy asked and raised an eyebrow. "And what are Nargles Loony? Another stupid thing you father came up with?" Luna ignored the last part and smiled. She knew they were making fun of her but... maybe they did what to know what Nargels were. (Well, just Malfoy, he was the one that asked). "Nargles are invisible animals (A/N I'm maken it up Idk what they look like) with four legs that are gre-" Luna stopped as Snape walked over and glared at them. Glared at Luna really. "What are you doing Ms. Lovegood?" Snape whispered murderessly. Luna's smile faltered but didn't disappear. "Nothing Professor." Malfoy jumped in. Luna was startled but didn't show it. "Nothing." Luna nodded and looked Snape in the eyes to prove her point. Snape turned to Malfoy. "Is this true?" he snapped. "Yes it is." Malfoy said. Pansy started, looking angry but Malfoy interrupted her or didn't notice. "We were only having a simple conversation with each other." Snape looked at Pansy and asked. "Nothing Ms. Parkinson?" Pansy looked like she was about to yell but realized it would embarrass Draco so she decided to agree with him. "Yes Professor, this is true."
Luna was trying not to smile but on the inside it felt like a swarm of Wrackspurts had taken over. Maybe the Slytherin's weren't to bad...Malfoy mostly but still...'Maybe,' Luna thought to herself. 'maybe the Crumple-Horned Snorkacks hadn't possessed Malfoy...'
