How he was born
Chapter 1
Tom Marvolo Riddle, later known as Lord Voldemort, or the Dark Lord, was born to Merope Gaunt and Tom Riddle Sr.
Merope, his mother, had a father named Marvolo Gaunt, and a brother named Morfin Gaunt. Her father treated her like an animal, and favored her brother instead. She was a pureblood and was not a Squib. She couldn't do magic, but that wholely was because on her father's cruelness toward her, which resulted in her body refusing to show and signs of magical ability.
But her father and brother were imprisoned in Azkaban later, and she fell in love with a handsome young Muggle named Tom Riddle. She was not good looking, altogether, so the gave him a strong love potion. It worked and Tom and Merope were wed.
Merope became pregnant, but after she did, the potion somehow wore off, and Tom went away, leaving her to die of a broken heart, but not before she had her baby, who was taken to an orphanage.
