The Train to Hogwarts

Chapter 2
After I finished packing everything into my trunk, and putting Brodwin into his cage, my mom and I left for King's Cross. Once we got there, I ran through the brick archway onto Platform 9 3/4. My mom soon followed. I gave her a quick farewell and hopped on the train. I found an empty compartment and loaded my trunk and Brodwin into a luggage compartment. Then I looked out the window and waved to my mom as the train started pulling away.
A couple minutes after the train left the station, a girl, also in her first year, asked if she could sit in this compartment. I said yes and she sat down across from me. She introduced herself as Lizzy Thunghorn. We talked about how exited we were and if we would get on the quidditch team or not. She wanted to be a beater. Lizzy said that she was muggle-born and played muggle softball for years. She also said that she was REALLY good! She could hit the ball wherever she wanted to. That's why she would make a great beater.
About halfway through the train ride, an old woman walked by our compartment pushing a trolley full of sweets. I bought a few chocolate frogs a Berttie's Every Flavor Beans. Then, once she left, a boy asked if he could sit. He was adorable. He had light brown hair that stuck out at every possible angle. Once he smiled, I could see that he had small dimples on each side. His eyes were hazel and dreamy.
His name was Zacarias Onlarian. I was in a daze from staring at him when Lizzy said, "Sure!" She clearly did not think he was cute. He sat and looked at me. I blushed and was surprised to see that he did the same. So I blushed again. We gradually started talking and I figured out that he was good at flying on a broom too. So we started to talk about quidditch again. He didn't know what he wanted to play, but he said probably a Chaser because he was fast.
Lizzy said that we would arrive at Hogwarts soon, so we all changed into our robes. Right after we finished, the train abruptly stopped. We grabbed our trunks and owls (Zac also had a Screech Owl) and stepped off the train into the dark evening. We followed the Gamekeeper to the giant lake in front of Hogwarts. The lake was filled with boats. All of the first years boarded the boats.
I got on a boat and Zac got on next to me. Then Lizzy jumpted into the boat making it rock back and forth. I accidentally fell into Zac. I sat straight up and blushed a deep red. Again, he did the same. The boats seemed to paddle themselves across the lake. No one was talking because they were all staring at Hogwarts. A HUGE castle with four turrets.
