Diagon Alley

Chapter 1
I was at home practicing flying on my Shooting Star when my mom called me in from the house. I gracefully landed on the grass and dismounted my broom. When I got to the house, my mom handed me a letter addressed to me in sparkly purple ink. I knew what the letter was because my mom told me that I would be getting it when I was 11. I had just turned 11, on July 9th.Two weeks before. I opened the letter and read through it. When I got to the list of what I would need for school, I showed my mom and said that we would need to go to Diagon Alley for my supplies.
The next week, my mom handed me a tiny golden key that I would need for Gringotts Bank. Then, she grabbed a bit of green dust called Floo Powder from a tiny flower pot. I did the same. I threw the powder into the fire, said, "Diagon Alley," and stepped into the fire. The next moment, I was standing in Diagon Alley! Then, my mom appeared next to me.
The first shop we went to was Madam Malkin's. Madam Malkin walked over to me and started fitting me for robes while my mom went to Gringotts for my money. I had my own separate bank from my mom's because 1 vault couldn't fit all of our gold. By the time Madam Malkin was done, my mom had just arrived with a sack full of my money. We paid Madam Malkin for my robes, and left the store.
Once we got into Flourish and Blotts, I went straight to the books that I needed, including: The Standard Book of Spells Grade 1, and A History of Magic. I also got a couple of books by Gilderoy Lockhart. Even though he was a fake, the things he wrote about actually happened.
After Flourish and Blotts, my mom surprised me by buying me Firebolt. She said it was a belated birthday present. Once I got a bunch of ink and quills, we went to Eeylop's Owl Emporium and my mom got me a screech owl. I named him Brodwin.
The only thing left, after buying a shiny, black cauldron and a telescope for Astronomy, was a wand. We started off towards Ollivander's. We went inside and an old man, maybe around 60 years old walked over to me. He sized me up and went to get a wand. He must have been very good at his job because the first wand he handed me felt wonderful! I gave it a wave and beautiful, colorful sparks came out the end. I knew it was the wand for me.
"Yew wood with a Dragon Heartstring. 11" long with reasonable flexibility," the old man said. I handed him sevn galleons from my sack and my mom and I went home.
