The Journey to Hogwarts:

Chapter 1
Once again Lily Edwards, Remi Owens, and Aaron Longbottom ran onto platform nine and three quarters ready to start their sixth year at hogwarts. As always, Aaron stumbled onto the Hogwarts express as Remi was reading over the latest book of spells she had gotten from Diagon Alley. Lily, on the other hand, was clutching her golden snitch necklace in her hand, a gift she had gotten from her mother before her first year of hogwarts. She was thinking about the upcoming quidditch season and how she led the Gryffindor team to victory last year by catching the snitch twenty minutes into the game. She was hoping to have just as good as a season this year as she did last year.

“Will you ever learn that there is an extra step there?” Remi remarked to Aaron, who had practically fallen into the empty compartment they chose to sit in.

Lily broke out into laughter, exchanging approving looks at Remi for her remark.

“Will you ever stop reading that blasted spellbook of yours?” Aaron questioned.

Remi sat straight up, her dark brown eyes narrowing. “I’ll have you know that this spellbook happens to be a gift from my mother. I’d like to be prepared and I think you two should as well.” Remi scolded.

Aaron and Lily braced themselves for what he had started.

“Honestly have either of you even looked at any of the school books for this year?” Remi continued. Silence. Remi sighed.

“The only books I’ve read this summer are quidditch play books. We have to win again this year. We would have lost to Slytherin last year if I hadn't caught the snitch.” Lily explained, placing her long brown hair behind her ear.

“Well I’m just glad you’ve both found something to keep yourselves busy over the summer. Apparently so busy that you didn’t bother to respond to my letters.” Aaron complained, his bright green eyes peered accusingly at them.

Remi and Lily exchanged confused looks.

“What letters?” Lily questioned.

Aaron sighed. “That owl!” He exclaimed, placing his head in his hands. “I’ve told my mother countless times I need a new owl.”

As the trio burst into laughter, they heard a familiar voice making its way down the train.
“Anything from the trolly dears?” Mrs. Paterson asked as she greeted them with a soft smile.

They saw the trolly full of sweets and excitedly jumped to their feet. They bought many chocolate frogs, a pack of Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans, and a few Chocoballs. As they were eating their many sweets, they looked up to see their classmate Riggs Collins standing in the doorway.

“Move over will you?” He sneered at Aaron, his tall lanky body towering over all of them.

Aaron stumbled his way across the compartment and sat down next to Lily. They exchanged disapproving looks.

“Haven’t you got somewhere better to sit than right there?” Lily remarked, her bright blue eyes fixated on Riggs.

“He can sit wherever he wants.” Remi said defensively.

Lily rolled her eyes at Riggs. He was a slytherin to the very core and Lily hated it. He had taken a liking to Remi in their fourth year at Hogwarts and he had been close to her ever since.

“I missed you this summer.” Remi blushed, twirling her curly red hair around her finger.

“Meet me by the Slytherin common room after dinner. I have a gift for you.” Riggs smirked.

“Okay. I’ll be there.” Remi said, practically in a trance.

Riggs kissed her hand and left the compartment.

“You don’t honestly think you’re going to sneak out after hours and meet Riggs tonight do you? I mean with peeves, Filch, and his new cat Mrs. Harris, you don’t stand a chance.” Lily explained.

“What happened to the old Remi who was scared to answer a question without raising her hand?” Aaron asked worriedly.

“I’ll be fine. Riggs wouldn’t do anything to get me in trouble.” Remi explained.

Lily and Aaron exchanged concerned looks because they knew this wouldn’t be the first time that Remi had gotten in trouble because of Riggs. Last year he had convinced her to go to Hogsmead in the middle of the night so they could spend time together at the Three Broomsticks. They had gotten caught and had gotten fifty points taken from both Gryffindor and Slytherin. Neither house was very pleased with the adventure when they woke up to see that their points had decreased.

As they neared Hogwarts, they changed into their red and black robes and gathered their belongings. They wondered what new adventures they would have this year mostly because they hadn’t had a normal relaxing year at Hogwarts since their first year. The past few years they spent their free time roaming the castle and uncovering hidden passageways, which has taken quite a toll on Gryffindor’s house points. More recently their focus has been on the Legend of Harry Potter. Every young witch and wizard grew up learning the story of Harry Potter, but recently they have been interested in finding out exactly what happened at the Battle of Hogwarts.

Thanks for reading! Chapter two should come out at some point this month. I just need to get my thoughts in order but I hope you guys enjoyed it.
