My alarm wakes me up with a jolt. I look at the clock as I turn it off. It says 6:30am. At that moment, Lyma knocks on my door. "Hello, sorry to wake you up so early but you have to be on the hovercraft in 30 minutes," she says smiling halfheartedly. I nod so she knows I'm listening. "I have your pin back. Make sure you bang it against the tracker insert device," she says in a low whisper. My mother would be telling me the same thing right now. "Of course I will. I want the most chance of surviving," I say whispering back. Lyma smiles and walks out the door. An Avox walks in not long after she leaves. The Avox hands me some clothes. I pull it on and look at myself in the mirror. On my top half, I'm wearing a maroon v-neck, a maroon windcheater and a maroon leather looking jumper. On my bottom half, I'm wearing cargo pants and brown boots. Finally, I do my hair in two buns. Lyma walks in as I finish. She smiles at me and hands me my pin. I put it in my pocket for safe keeping. "Let's get you some food quickly, you've got 15 minutes," Lyma says to me. I'm starving so this sounds good to me. I try to eat as much as possible so I won't be hungry for a long time in the arena. Porter then calls me & Patrick over. He's wearing a similar outfit to me except it's fitted more for his body shape. Porter leads us to the elevator. She tells us the hovercraft is leaving from the roof. On the way up, she tells us what to do. "Stay away from the cornucopia, that's where the most people die. If you want make some alliances, if you haven't already, break them up when there is a few people left. Everyone will hate you if you kill your ally. Finally," she says as the doors open, "Be safe and I hope to see you at the end of this!" Porter has tears in her eyes as she pulls us into an uncomfortable hug. Patrick finally manages to break the hug. I follow him into the hovercraft. Some tributes are already inside. Atala stands in the middle. She directs us to our seats. I'm sitting next to the boy from 3, Noah, and the girl from 11, Rue, who looks very scared. Patrick is sitting on the opposite end to me. Across from Rue is Clove, who is giving a death stare to Glimmer. Glimmer is chatting to Cato and laughing. I roll my eyes. How are the Careers going to work together this year when Clove wants to kill Glimmer? Finally, Katniss and Peeta arrive. I can't believe they are always last. Katniss sits across from me. The door closes and the hovercraft lifts off.......
