Foxface's Interview
Chapter 11
As I walk towards Caesar I try not to laugh at all the Capitol audience. They look so ridiculous. Caesar smiles at me making me feel more comfortable. He's good at that. I sit on the chair. I think it's weird to say but it's warm from the other tributes. Caesar announces to all of Panem my name and age. I can imagine my parents sitting anxiously in our tiny living room. "Well Finch, may I ask what you think of the Capitol?" asks Caesar. "It's wonderful. Much bigger and flashier than the districts," I say as truthful as possible. Caesar nods in agreement and the audience cheers. "Do you have an special skills you can tell us about?" Caesar asks me. "I'm very smart. I believe no weapons can match a brain." I say quickly. "I like that. I like that a lot. I think that deserves a round of applause!" Caesar yells. The audience cheers loudly. I'm surprised at the reaction of the Capitol. Usually Caesar is more considerate to the Careers and doesn't really care about the others. "How are you going to win? What's your strategy?" Caesar asks me slowly. I pause for a moment. “I will always analyze the situation and apply myself," I reply. Caesar says that it's a good strategy. He asks me about weapons but I tell him I'm not coordinated enough to use one. "Let's talk about your training score. You got a 5 and you are from District 5! 5 must be your lucky number!" Caesar says laughing. I nod joining in with a short laugh. "Well folks that is all we have time for! Thank you Finch!" he says raising my hand into the air. I exit the stage and breathe a sigh of relief.
