As soon as I walked in I knew something was not right. The house was a mess as if someone had been looking for something, something important. It was silent, all I could hear was the faint noise of a baby crying. I ran up the steps to see what the young Harry Potter was crying for, but as I went up I saw something that I never wish to see again. There lied James Potter, dead on the floor with the look of horror in his face. Though we never got along I couldn't believe my eyes, but before I could do anything else my mind immediately when to Lill, was she okay? I ran up to the room where the baby was crying and there she was, the love of my life, dead on the floor. I dropped on to the floor for my legs went limp and I picked her up and held her in my arms. I knew that I was the work of Voldemort, he was looking to kill Harry and did whatever it took to do it, so that day I swore to not only myself but to Lilly that I would do anything to protect Harry Potter.
