The space suits are made of Nomex fireproof material, similar to kevlar. The suit was designed for use inside the Dragon (intravehicular suit, VAT), however in the case of a rapid depressurization of the nacelle the suit can protect the crew members. The suit can also provide cooling for astronauts during nominal flight.
