"I'm Fine"
written by Sage Maiden
This book is sorta a second part to Hiding Behind a Smile. Like I said in that book, everything that I'm describing in this book is true.

Isn't That What I'm Supposed to Say?
Chapter 1
I'm feel the numbness throughout my body. I can't do anything about it. I won't do anything about it. Well, except for maybe one thing. "If I can feel pain, that's good," I tell myself. I go into the bathroom and take a blade. I make a quick slash, and I can feel my arm, the open wound stinging me. "That's a good thing," I tell myself. "If I can feel pain, I'm not that numb." I continue this for months. I go to school almost every single day, hiding the red lines from everyone. Everyday I wear a jacket or a long sleeve shirt. The thing is, when I do wear a T-shirt with no jacket, no one notices. "Does anyone even care for me?" I ask myself. Everyday they always ask the same question, "Hey, how are you?" With that I always use the same response. "I'm fine," is what I say. Isn't that what I'm supposed to say?
