Harry's P.O.V.
Chapter 2
I was walk/running to Draco's common room because he was late to dinner and Draco was /never/ late unless he was upset or it didn't matter to him. "Pure-blood" I whispered, which was the new password. "Draco?" I half yelled as the wall opened up. "Are you here Draco?" He must be in his dorm, I thought, so I started walking up the stairs. When I got there Draco was trying to cover his desk which was covered in papers. "What are you doing up here Dragon?" I asked, a bit of concern was spreading in my heart for Merlin knows why. I looked at his desk and saw one of the papers was a letter from Draco's parents. I grabbed it and read the outside of it. "It's nothing..." Draco looked flustered. "Are you lying to me?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in a hopefully playful way. "It depends on how you define 'lying'." Draco said blushing weirdly. He only blushes when I kiss him in public so it must be a big deal. "And how do you define it?" I grinned. "I..um...by laying in a horizontal position?" Draco finished. I laughed, it was the best feeling ever to see Draco and laugh instead of crying(Authors note again; read book one and two and this will make sense) I got confused and asked. "Who's the letter from anyway?"I already knew where it came from but didn't want Draco to think I was invading his space. "Am I allowed to read it?" Draco's eyes widened and he stuttered. "It's from-er-'' I tore open the letter and started reading. (//letter in first chapter//.) "So." I was rid of emotion. "You haven't told your parents." I glanced up quickly and saw Draco looking at the mermaid that had been waving at me. "No." Draco whispered. "I haven't told them yet. Have you told anyone you know?"(SPOILER'S) Images swarm in and out of my mind. Sirius falling through the veil and Remus dead body next to Tonks. "I told Remus but you know...he's dead now..." I lost my voice for a second but found it again. "And I told my godfather but he's dead to...so no I haven't really told anyone yet either so we're even." I saw Fred's body on the ground and his ghost of a laugh still on his face but I had never told the Weasley's about Dragon and I, except for Ron but he was too busy snogging Hermione to notice or care about me. I came back to earth and saw Draco's sad face and I felt pity all though he hates it when people pity him. I do it anyway because I care. "It's not your fault." Draco stood up from his chair and hugged me. I started feeling his soft hair, my heart started beating to the same rhythm as Draco's. "Are you ok?" I asked. "I'm fine...". "Dragon?" I needed to ask him a question that he wasn't going to like. "Yeah?" it was all worse because it was Draco with his sparkling gray-blue eyes and white blonde hair that smelled like apples. "Who are you going to choose?" I kinda didn't want him to answer but I needed to know. "Who should I choose?" Draco asked, I felt teariable. "Well you parents of course..." I let go of Draco and looked every where but him. "Harry I don't care what my parents say they-" "Draco."
I said and he stopped yelling his shoulders sagging. "Chose your parents, I don't matter as much as family." I said and Draco started yelling again. "You /are/ more than family Harry! Those people don't give a d** about me as long as I do what they say!" I sat down and stared at Draco, who was pacing the room without realizing it, until he finished. He sighed and laid down on his bed. "You know Harry?" Draco said in a much kinder voice now that he had(I think)calmed down. "Schools over and I was wondering..." I interrupted him. "And you're going to your parents house before Hogwarts is over because your parents want you to and Professor McGonagall said that you are."
