the end of the year feast was amazing. the golden plates were filled with all types of food from full turkeys to light salads. I just had some spaghetti and garlic bread, then meatballs, then for dessert, some tiramisu. Dumbledore stood up and made a speech about togetherness and love or something. I wasn't really listening. before we went to the dormitory, Sirius slipped me a note. it read,

R,
astronomy tower, midnight.

so I got out a quill and scribbled back,

SB,
we would get caught.

and he responded,

R,
so what? what are they going to do? put us in detention? ;)

I looked over at him and nodded.

I waited until everyone was asleep, then went down to the common room. I waited until midnight, then headed out. Sirius must already be there, I thought because he wasn't with me. I climbed the stairs to the tower and stepped out on the balcony. I gasped.
