Chapter 2
As we walked back to the castle I looked back at Remus. I know he suffers so much during transformations. to my surprise, I saw his eyes were full of tears. he saw me looking at him and quickly wiped his face on the cloak, and put on a false smile.
The second we entered the castle, Remus blotted up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room to change into something less bloody, while the rest of the marauders headed to the great hall for breakfast. Remus showed up halfway through breakfast with his eyes red, and his face wet. judging from the bulge in the sleeve of his robe, he had bandaged his elbow. the instant he sat down, James pushed a plate of eggs towards him.
"you're going to have to eat something," I explained when Remus gave James a weird look.
"I'm not hungry," mumbled Remus.
"Yes, you are. You torture your self every month ay the full moon, there is no need to starve yourself to." and with that, I grabbed a slice of toast and crammed the whole thing into his mouth. he chewed for a long time before finally swallowing. "better?" I asked. he grinned and nodded. the rest of breakfast went uneventfully, So we headed out to transfiguration.
Tenechly Remus was excused from classes the day after a full moon, but not even loss of a limb would stop him from attending a lesson, any lesson. even history of magic! I can't even stay awake during history of magic. honestly, I admire him for it.
During Transfiguration, Remus seemed a little off. like, more so than usual after a full moon. it might have to do with the fact that he can't really move his arm to the wand movement, but he was failing to do the summoning charm, something he could do perfectly the day before. I thought it was his arm, but something about the way he was looking at him made me think differently.
I am not a very good people person, and I was not entirely sure what that look was. he had a slight frown, and his eyebrows were scrunched a bit, his head was tilted, although considering something, his head was resting on his fist, and he was biting the inside of his mouth. it was hard to tell, but it looked kind. don't ask me how I figured that one out, but I gave him a quick smile, and he was immediately knocked out of his dase. he looked terrified for a second, before seeming to regain control and smile back at me. Remus has a sweet smile.
