I turned over in my sleep and the sound of crinkling paper woke me up. to my surprise, I found a scrap of parchment on my pillow. I picked it up and saw familiar handwriting on it. reluctant at first, I started reading.

dear Moony,

I am sorry. I love you and you have every right to hate me. no one deserves to hear those things. I don't believe anything I said. I was drunk and I know that's no excuse, but I am sorry. I remember our first night. I want you to know my last thought will be of you. goodbye.

Sirius Orion Black

I read it three times. the more I read it, the more creepy it seemed. the more it felt like a goodbye. realism hit me and i screamed. James and peter came running and James said,
"what is it?" I could only say,
"Sirius. dead. astronomy." blood drained from their faces and we ran out of the dormitory. we made it to the tower in record time, to see Sirius poised on the railing, and his wand lying meters from him, abandoned. I screamed and he looked behind him. he gave me a sad smile, a tear running down his face.
"I'm sorry." and then, he jumped.

I did the only thing I could think of. I ran to the edge and hurled my self off after him. the sensation of falling was so amazing that for a second, I forgot about everything else. the only thing that existed was the wind. then I snapped back to my scenes and experienced a whole new feeling. Terror. pulled out my wand and screamed
"ARESTO MOMENTO!" nothing happened. I panicked. I did it again and again with the same result. we were approaching the ground fast, with no way of stopping. Sirius looked up at me and all blood drained from his face. I saw his mouth move. he was saying no. we were feet from the ground.
"ARESTO MOMENTO." We slowed down and landed on the ground softly. I saw bright purple boots running towards us. Then I blacked out.
