Olivia Snyde and the Cursed Elements (In progress)
written by Kathe Clawitter
Olivia Snyde is a muggleborn witch (she is NOT a relative to Merula Snyde!). But when she arrives in Hogwarts everyone thinks that Merula Snyde is her sister and she takes the muggleborn status only to spy in Hogwarts. Of course this isn't true, but nobody believes her, exept a pure-blood girl named Emma Ambre. They become friends, but the two girls will not meet in Hogwarts this year anymore...

The Letter
Chapter 1
Olivia walked home. She had a normal school day behind her. Actually it wasn't that normal. It was only two days until the summer holidays begin and everyone was full of joy and happiness. Even Mr Purgin, the strict math teacher smiled for a few seconds, and that was a big deal! Only two days left... "Ouch!" Olivia said. While dreaming, she had walked against a mailbox. She looked around quickly. The neighbours didn't notice anything. She went home and walked into her room, sat on the bed and she started dreaming about the Summer Holidays again.
Two months later, when the summer holidays were in full swing: three days before her 11th birthday, she saw a really weird letter on the doormat. Everything was written with Green ink and there was a wax seal on it. "Who writes letters like that nowadays?" She asked herself. Olivia stepped into the kitchen and opened the letter. "We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry..." Olivia muttered. "What does that mean? Witchcraft and Wizardry? Oh, here is another letter: All the muggle-borns are pleased to go and meet with the Muggle studies teacher in the King's Cross station on the 10th of August at 12 o'clock ." She was really confused and decided to google 'muggle-born'. Some Harry Potter themed sites came out from there. "I don't understand anything!" she shouted. "Who put this letter there too, what does muggle-born mean, what is Hogwarts? Aaargh!" She tried to calm herself down. "I'll ask mum and dad later, I hope they know anything about Harry Potter."
"What is Harry Potter?" she asked her mum later, during dinner. "Well, that is a book series. I think there are movies about that too. Why you asked?" Her mum said. "Well, I got a really weird letter today. I googled about it and it said that it's something from Harry Potter, I didn't understand it completely. " She replied. "Show me!" her mum said. It was clear that she was very excited. "Here." Olivia gave the letter to her mum. "Ooh, I think that it is an acceptance letter. It says, probably, that you are a witch!" Her mum looked very surprised. "And what does 'muggle-born' mean?" Olivia asked restlessly. "Wait I will Google it...Here we go: Muggleborns are witches or wizards who are born with no magical parents. Just like you!" Mum said happily. "On the letter was something about a meeting in the King's Cross station, will you bring me there?" Olivia said. Mum replied after a while "When is the meeting? Let's seeā¦ the 10th of August." She read. "Sorry, I can't, I have a conference in London so much earlier, but dad can bring you there to, I hope." Olivia's dad stepped into the room, "Who said dad?" he asked. "We were talking about that letter. It seems like our daughter is a witch! And we thought that maybe you can bring Olivia to the King's Cross station, can you?" Mum showed his man the letter. "Today?" dad said surprisingly. "No, on the 10th of August! I have to be there at 12 o'clock!" Olivia laughed. "I think it's fine. I am so proud to have my daughter a witch!" Said her father and laughed.
