Hello readers,
Today we are going to spill the tea, on why it takes things so long to get graded. So, let us start with the population of this app. So because of quarantine, we had to move Hogwarts online. Though this has been here before a few new about it. We’re not sure what happened to it but one time there was a glitch in the system so many years ago. But, since 2020 the users have skyrocketed. Many dedicated Harry Potter fans come to actually learn. This causes A LOT of assignments to graded’. There are not that many PAs or professors and they are the ones in charge of grading. The reason they have opened applications for PAs is partial because, of the lack of them. In the PA world, they called how long it takes something to get graded a turnaround. For different classes the turnaround is different, but for year two students they have electives. Those classes not everyone takes so their turn arounds are shorter. You may find grading faster or slower depending on what year you’re in but there has been a lot of new students in year one. This is where you have to start in order to graduate. Thanks for spilling the tea with us until next time, at the Hogwarts Daily News.
PA Article
“I love being a PA. it gives me a sense of helping both students and professors. And as a Ravenclaw, it also makes me happy to have an extra layer of learning. Being a PA isn't a hard job, but it is a lot of work and can be quite time-consuming. Grading assignments, essays, and short answers take the most time. I also have gotten quite a few owls. Being Head Girl has also added some extra work when the professor needs me to do extra. I am pretty happy with the job, although I do wish it was easier to give better feedback, particularly on quizzes. The process of becoming a PA was different for me than most. Generally, a professor will post a job opening, those that are interested will apply, and then the professor will determine who they believe with fit the best in the job. For me, it was not conventional. I was a student six years ago when the site opened. I became a PA and HG. When the influx of students happened, I was asked to come back and help. I have been asked if we get anything special by more than one person, no we do not, just some extra work. As a PA I have gotten a range of questions that include assignments, needing extra explanations, and just random site questions. I think the PA system is a good one. I am sure we all have things that we think would make it better, but overall, it gets the job done as accurately and quickly as possible. I wasn't aware that anything I wrote was famous, but I am guessing that it did have some help just from the experience of being a PA”.
