The Kiss
Chapter 8
We had a great time we took the rest of the day exploring the soldier’s village. It was bad, but at least we were together. That night while we were stargazing just outside of the village I asked him “ what were you going to say when we were on the track?
” “what do you mean, when?” he replies
“When I asked why you would never leave me you said because and then trailed off what were you going to say” I say with an accidental note of demand in my voice.
“I was going to say that I love you,” he said in a gentle tone
“ well I love you too, and when we got here I was confused as to why I wanted to fight in the rebellion but, now I realize, I want to fight in the rebellion with you because I love you.
