Chapter 1
Faded Flowers
Wake up
Marigold woke up, she looked around, she was speechless, She was in a open coffin, And that coffin was placed in a overgrown looking forest, she was so amazed but terrified, She knew that something wrong happened, she just knew it, Quite obviously something had happened, because she lived happily in her small town, But she couldn’t remember who came, when or what happened to her. But she knew something else had happened.
So, she stood up and looked around one more time, this time she felt uncomfortable, so she decided to look around at her body, she was in a white dress, white heels, and when she woke up she saw she had some white roses in her hands. Both of her hands together put at her chest.
Something else unexpected happened, she had white roses all around her body, like it was growing on her, she screamed as she saw it, then quieted her voice, After getting used to things, she started to walk around the forest, it was whimsical and overgrown, light pearing out of the leaves of the trees, it felt like home to her, but she knew it wasn’t, so she didn’t stay there. She started to walk and walk, but no luck came, Only when a horse came jumping in, she screamed, then got knocked out, she woke up tied up to a tree, she tried to speak, but she couldn’t, and it came out muffled because her mouth was tied too. She looked around and saw there stood a horse body, she raised an eyebrow. As she started to look beyond the waist, it looked like it became human, she couldn’t believe her eyes, she stumbled upon a centaur, she felt very nervous, so she slowly looked up, and saw a centaur girl, her hands at her hips. “Well, Well, Well.” she said as her tail flipped back and forth.
“W-Who are you?” Marigold said stuttering “Don’t need to be nervous, Look, My brother found you, And Well...Fairies aren’t allowed here, so i decided to take you, and let you go when you woke up.” she said, taking a dagger cutting the rope. “Did i just hear you wrong and say ‘Fairy?’ Who were you talking to?” she said widening her eyes as she stood up, she was taller than her. “Of course you, Dummy. Now go before my family finds you.” she said rolling her eyes “I think you got a misunderstanding-” she added when she got interrupted “Look honey, I know someone when i see them, And if you don’t go, I’ll bring you to my brother.” she said
“Thank you so much, I can’t thank you more!” she said going in for a hug, as she stopped and backed off.
As soon as the centaur girl was about to answer, out came a pack of wolves, Marigold, first instinct; Scream, and started to climb a tree, “Oh s-” the centaur girl said, she was a centaur, She couldn’t climb a tree. So she started to run, After a montage of fighting, the alpha wolf scratched her shoulder, She then quickly knocked all of them out, and started to feel dizzy. She sat down, “A thank you..?” she mumbled, when she fainted. Marigold gasped and widened her eyes, she jumped down the trees, and saw her there, She was a healer in her Town, So she knew her way around the forests, and knew how to heal. After a few minutes, she got all the herbs and stuff, and started to heal, she took a pin from her air, and stuffed the herbs in with the pin. It was easier than using her fingers, it would have gotten an infection if she did, so she had to improvise.
After that, she fell asleep, then woke up half an hour later, looking to the centaur girl, she was just sleeping, She sighed and got up, After she woke up, the centaur girl quietly woke up, Making Marigold not notice her, she slowly started to walk up to her, And was right behind her, Marigold heard hoof sounds, and turned around, to see Her right there, The centaur than kissed her on the lips. She widened her eyes, then closed it, the kiss lasted a while, then when the pulled back, the centaur girl walked back and sat down, Marigold sat down as well.
“So...What’s your name?” she said blushing “I am Calanthe.” she said “I am Marigold.” Marigold said looking at her.
After a few days of traveling in the forest they saw a castle in the distance, they started heading towards it, by the time they arrived, they were about to walk and open the gates, when two swords came out of nowhere crossing their way towards there. They both stepped back and looked, two knights stood there; back straight, and head up.
After negotiating, they finally got in, looking around the happy bright villages, then a bright castle. She gasped in amazement, then Calanthe kissed her on the cheek. They walked in and explored around.
When it was getting dark, they had gone to a pub, they ordered two wines, and some food, when they heard footsteps coming to their table, they looked up and saw a hooded figure….
