~Magical Creatures
-presence of inherent magical power
-we don't know where it comes from
-we can't create creatures that have magical properties
-can't conjure any animal not considered a beast
-can't conjure beings, spirits, or boggarts
~The Transformation
-turns small statue into a small model dragon
-goal is to make it exhale smoke
-concentrate on respiratory system and lungs

Incantation: Draconifors (dra-CON-ih-fors)
Wand Movement: Slash wand at statue
Concentration: High - focus on appearance and fire-breathing aspect of dragon
Willpower: Medium-High
-Backfires: dragon-shaped statue, spontaneous combustion of statue
-not much success on statues larger than a shoe

-Tansia Tuft and Alan Simon in 1899
-Simon wanted to see if the dragon scales could be used in potions, Tuft agreed to help
-often created for children and adults to play with without fear of getting harmed
-can fly and get into hard to reach places
-used in 1994 Triwizard Tournament to show contestants their opponents
