Dittany, while a difficult plant to grow, is a necessity in everyday life. Half of the greenhouse that I own is dedicated to maintaining the conditions needed to grow it. Specifically these conditions are those found on the on the mountainside of Crete: a warm temperature as close to 13 degrees as possible, soil with a neutral PH level and very little water. It is alright if too much water is given to it on occasion, but I need to make sure that the soil is completely dry until it is watered again. If grown properly, it should grow to 20 to 30 centimeters in height. The reason why dittany is needed in everyday life is because it has amazing healing properties as long as it is properly diluted and in addition it can also help prevent scarring, is an ingredient in love potions and is even sometimes used as a wand core.
