Making the trek to Scotland, attempting to harvest this plant has proven more difficult than I thought it would be. Not only is it hard to find physically due to it growing in dark, nutritious soil and only requires a small amount of light, but when I do find it I must be extremely careful as I harvest it. The first time I pulled on it too hard and a squirt of yellow pus burned my cheek, forcing me to leave the cave and wash my face in a nearby river. While I'm now wearing a mask to protect myself, it is still hard to put them into the containers of dragon dung that I have with me. It is interesting how something this corrosive can cure acne when diluted in essence of dittany or gillywater. Maybe it is a reaction between the two which gives it this property and warrants further study.
