You select
the choice that says “Aconite”.  The
magical barrier disappears and you can see your aconite, also known as
Monkshood and Wolsfbane. You try to be extremely careful as you move around to
inspect the plant, but something trips you and you left hand lands on the plant
to stabilize you. Worried for the aconite you quickly remove your hand and see
that it’s not too worse for wear. You look at your left hand and thank Merlin
that you decided to put the protective equipment when entering the greenhouse.
You dragon-hide gloves protected you from aconite poisoning. You’ll have to
check on your way out if you have any atropine with the rest of the antidotes,
just in case something like that happens again.

You’ve read plenty
about what aconite can do to you. When poisoned by a large dose, death can be
almost instantaneous, though it will usually take within two and six hours.
Symptoms, which show themselves in the first hour, may include diarrhea,
nausea, vomiting, sensations of burning in the abdomen, mouth and face,
tingling and numbness starting in the mouth and face and spreading, sweating,
dizziness, headaches, confusion and troubles with breathing. Aconite poisoning
grants you an immediate trip to St Mungo’s. Yes, you are so glad you decided to
play it safe.

You look at the conditions display and it says “Good”,
meaning the soil is nutritious, most probably dark and fluffy, and the plant
has been protected from direct sunlight. Aconite does prefer shady areas after
all.
