John Jones is a strong, scruffy and intelligent computer programmer from Scotland. His life is going nowhere until he meets Katy Sparrow, a pretty, stunning woman with a passion for jam doughnuts. John takes an instant disliking to Katy and the thoughtless and controlling ways she learnt during her years in the city.However, when a thug tries to trick John, Katy springs to the rescue. John begins to notices that Katy is actually rather considerate at heart. But, the pressures of Katy's job as a hairdresser leave her blind to John's affections. Finally, when callous navigator, Casper Humble, threatens to come between them, Katy has to act fast. But will they ever find the magical love that they deserve? Chapter 1

I nearly broke all the shelves on my wall by turning Quantum Physics into a destructo-frisbee. It's bad enough we have to move but did Mom and Dad really have to move us to West-Point, Nebraska? I mean it was actually voted the number one most boring city in Nebraska. We're from New York City, I LIKE the sound of noise, and all the skyscrapers! And did they really have to move us right at the start of my junior year of high school! I sighed as I rolled off the bed to the kitchen in search of a jam doughnut. As I walked into the kitchen I saw mom humming as she cooked something that looked more like pig slop than food.
