First things first, what is a wand? A wand is a magical tool that witches and wizards could not live without. Wands channel a witches and wizards power, and most spells are done with the aid of a wand. Wands are created and sold by wand makers, with the most famous one being Ollivander. 

Every wand is unique. It has its own core, wood, and length, all suited for the caster it serves. Now that we know what a wand is, its important to know how to acquire one. Wands are normally purchased at a wand makers shop, and the process includes trying out a few in order to find the right wand for you. A wand that is not suited for you will make itself known as "not-the-one-for-you", through a demonstration of failed "waves of the wand". When the right wand is placed in your hands, you can be certain that it will let you know that it has chosen you. I have always known that wands are best suited for whom they choose, wands that are passed down from generation to generation do not do the witch or wizard's full power within them justice.
