The Character Change

Chapter 2

The next morning I asked my mom if I could go to the set. She drove me there around ten o’clock.

“What are you doing here?” Allen snapped at me.

“I’m here to apologize.” I told him.

“I don’t want your…” His sentience trailed off. He was staring at my mom with wide eyes. “H-Holly? I-I thought that you were d-dead.”

My mom grabbed Allen’s arm and pulled him into the audition room. I fallowed them and listened to their conversation through the door.

“I thought you were dead,” repeated Allen.

” Well, I’m not. You will not tell anyone about me, alright?” my mom said sternly.

“Why not you’re back, you’re finally back! We’ve missed. You could have been a huge help to Amile,” Allen said.

“I will not go back to that world of unspeakable danger and nether will my daughter. I know what you were saying to her yesterday, and I don’t want her to get involved.”

“But it’s in her blood.”

“I don’t care. I almost died a million times and I don’t want that to happen to Saige. You can give her the part in your stupid movie if you want to but you wont involve her in the truth.”

“Fine.” I could see the handle on the door turning and quickly  bounced to the side and leaned on the wall.

“Saige, can I speak with you in here?” asked Allen.

“Sure,”I said. My mom gave Allen a look as I walked into the room.

“I heard everything,” I blurted out then clasped my mouth with my hand.

“I know. I sorry that I was so forceful yesterday. I’m begging you to help me. You don’t have to if you don’t want to,” Allen said.

“I’ll do it. I don’t know what it is yet, but I’ll do it.” I promised.

“You sure?” he asked. I nodded. He gave a sigh of relief.

“Good. Great. Perfect! Would you like to be Amile in my movie.” he asked

My eyes widened. “Yes!” I shouted.

“Good. You can stay on set then.”

When I came out of the room I wore a huge smile on my face.

“I got the part,” I told my mom. “I got the part!” Me and my mom started to jump up and down frantically.

The girl wearing black from yesterday came over to me. She was still wearing black but it wasn't a dress this time.

“What are you doing here you din’t get the part, I did,” she said. Me and my mom stopped jumping.

I turned to her and said "There's been a mix-up. You got the email by accident, I was suppose to get it."

"I doubt that. I'm going to ask Allen." the girl marches away to find Allen. I told my mom to leave and I followed the girl to find Allen.

"Hello, Regina," Allen said to the girl. "What are you doing here?"

"What do yo mean what, am I doing here? You sent me an email. I got the part for Amile, not her!" Regina pointed at me.

"There's been a mix-up. I identically sent you the email. You didn't get the part, I'm sorry. Maybe you can have a part though. Amile's best friend hasn't been casted yet, would you like the part?"

Regina narrowed her eyes at me then said "I'll take it."

"Good, good. Why don't you go get your script." When Regina left, Allen said "After practice today, there's something you need to see. Tell your mom that you're sleeping over at a friends house to night."
